About the Role

We are hiring a Reconciliation Associate to handle daily transaction matching and break investigations. 

You will play a vital role in checking that every single financial transaction on MAKE's platform seamlessly aligns with our partner banks and payment networks, maintaining absolute financial integrity for our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operational and transactional reconciliations across various internal ledgers and bank accounts.

  • Identify, research, and log financial exceptions, missing transactions, or settling variances.

  • Coordinate with the Customer Support and Payments teams to resolve user-facing ledger anomalies swiftly.

  • Assist in compiling regular performance reports on transaction match rates and outstanding break metrics.

  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and test automated reconciliation tools as they are deployed.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in payment operations, reconciliation, or data-heavy financial clerical roles.

  • Strong technical orientation with high proficiency in Excel; exposure to SQL is a huge plus.

  • Uncompromising attention to detail and a methodical approach to tracking down numbers.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing internal workflows and system upgrades in a startup environment.

  • Effective teamwork skills and a clear communication style.

Nice to Have

  • Prior exposure to automated reconciliation tools or large-scale financial ERP systems.

  • Experience within the fintech, payment processing, or banking industries.

  • Interest in building better financial infrastructure for digital content creators.
