About the Role

We are hiring a Payroll Administrator to manage and optimize our end-to-end global payroll processes. 

You will ensure that MAKE's growing, diverse team of international employees and contractors is compensated accurately, compliantly, and on time across multiple global jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end global payroll for salaried, hourly, and contract-based team members across multiple entities.

• Ensure strict compliance with regional tax laws, social security contributions, pensions, and local payroll regulations.

• Manage employee onboarding and off-boarding within payroll systems, including tracking benefits deductions and bonuses.

• Partner with HR to reconcile payroll data against employee lifecycle changes, benefits updates, and time-off records.

• Address employee payroll inquiries swiftly, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and customer service.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience specializing in global or multi-state payroll administration.

• Deep familiarity with payroll compliance, regional tax withholdings, and international employment structures (EOR models).

• Hands-on experience using modern global payroll and HRIS software (e.g., Deel, Rippling, Gusto).

• High degree of integrity, absolute discretion, and attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent designation.

• Prior experience working within a fast-scaling tech startup environment.

• Basic understanding of accounting entries associated with payroll booking.
