About the Role
We are looking for an Accounting Associate to support our growing global accounting team.
You will handle core day-to-day accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and execute key financial reconciliation tasks that keep MAKE's creator-centric financial platform running accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post daily journal entries, maintaining accurate and updated records in the general ledger.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.
Assist senior accounting staff with month-end and year-end close procedures.
Provide support for corporate tax preparation, statutory audits, and financial reporting requests.
Help continuously improve and document internal accounting processes as MAKE scales.
Requirements
1–3 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in a corporate environment or accounting firm.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; basic knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS.
Strong numeric acumen and advanced proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
Prior experience with modern accounting ERPs such as NetSuite or QuickBooks Online.
Fintech industry experience or familiarity with transactional high-volume ledger environments.
Desire to pursue professional certifications like a CPA.
