About the Role

We are looking for an Accounting Associate to support our growing global accounting team. 

You will handle core day-to-day accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and execute key financial reconciliation tasks that keep MAKE's creator-centric financial platform running accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post daily journal entries, maintaining accurate and updated records in the general ledger.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.

• Assist senior accounting staff with month-end and year-end close procedures.

• Provide support for corporate tax preparation, statutory audits, and financial reporting requests.

• Help continuously improve and document internal accounting processes as MAKE scales.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in a corporate environment or accounting firm.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; basic knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS.

• Strong numeric acumen and advanced proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with modern accounting ERPs such as NetSuite or QuickBooks Online.

• Fintech industry experience or familiarity with transactional high-volume ledger environments.

• Desire to pursue professional certifications like a CPA.
